Storage

Store at or below minus 18°C. Do not thaw before cooking. Product must be cooked before consumption.

Cooking Instructions

Mmm… Hash Browns. The following cooking instructions are for a full tray of McCain Hash Browns. For smaller quantities reduce the cooking time accordingly. For best results cook from frozen. Do not overcook and watch carefully during the final minutes of preparation.

Oven

1. Preheat oven and oven tray to 230°C (210°C fan forced) for 10 minutes.
2. Spread your McCAIN Hash Browns in a single layer on the preheated oven tray and place in the top half of the oven.
3. Bake in oven for 10 minutes, turn and continue heating for a further 10 – 15 minutes until they’re lovely, crisp and light golden. Regular turning is unnecessary.

Note: Cooking times may vary from oven to oven. Adjust the cooking time to suit your oven and preferences.

Grill

1. Preheat grill and oven tray at medium-high heat for 5 minutes.
2. Spread your McCain Hash Browns evenly over grill tray and place on the middle shelf of the oven.
3. Grill in oven for minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking until they’re lovely crisp and light golden.

Sandwich Press

1.  Place 2 McCAIN Hash Browns in a single layer on a Hot Sandwich Press. Ensure both sandwich press surfaces are in contact with the Hash Browns.
2. Heat for 3½ minutes or until they’re lovely crisp and light golden.
